Method

  1. Use canned, ready-cooked kidney beans; do not substitute uncooked dried beans.
  2. Combine the drained beans, tomatoes, water, oil and measured salt in a saucepan. Break up the tomatoes.
  3. Bring to a simmer and cook for about 12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thoroughly hot. Add chopped washed parsley before serving.
